The images of this calendar are a part of the drawings painted by Falco Tarassaco, founder and spiritual guide of Damanhur, in the Hall of Water, the magical library of the Temples of Humankind. The writings comprise symbols that awaken ancient knowledge and memories of what could be. They help us remember our divine nature, and sense the direction to manifest our power of creation.
In The Myth of the Sapphire Masks, a Damanhurian myth, Prince Psor finds himself in a mysterious Temple after the fall of Atlantis: “Psor observes the serpents and the strange figures drawn on the walls, but he no longer understands the languages in which they are written, nor the formulas placed between the snakes’ jaws, nor the other magical signs…”
The Hall of Water, in a play of reflections of past and future, is that very same Temple. The writings on the walls are signs-traces that involve the totality of our senses, and can be turned into sounds and movements. They are keys to our inner treasure chest: over time, with constancy and application, with art, study and presence we continue to search for their meaning, feeling their effect in us.
